Enjoy Your Special Day

To create this card, I used a Spellbinders die to cut a shape in a manila card.  I used Radiant Neon Inks to color just the shape with a stencil. I inked a piece of vellum with Radiant Neon Ink, then die cut the vellum with the same shape.  I cut out the inside of the shape and adhered the vellum over the card, leaving the shape in the manila card uncovered. I punched flower shapes on the sides of the card, then added some bling.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment.

That post *should* be our hop. If not, you can probably scroll down a short way to find the hop post.

Dream Big

dream big card

I just received the latest stamps and embossing folders, plus a set of Spectrum Noir markers, from the wonderful folks at Crafter’s Companion. I decided to start with the flower stamp you see here: I stamped the flower several times in black ink, then colored the flowers with markers and cut them out.  I embossed a strip of cardstock with an embossing folder and inked it in green. I adhered the flowers to the strip of embossed cardstock, then adhered the layering piece to the card.  I stamped the sentiment in the same green ink, and completed the card with ribbon.

Boozy Greetings

I just bought several great stamps from Unity, including a beer mug and a great sentiment to go with it.  I stamped the mug on Vertigo, which gives a cool glass-like effect, then colored it with additional Stazon.  To complete the look, I added some embossed and colored kraft cardstock and a strip of cork.

I think I’ll give this to my brother-in-law for Father’s Day, since there’s nothing like parenthood to make you start drinking.  JK.
